🐝Inspiring Impactful Change

Hyndburn Green Spaces Forum

Hyndburn Green Spaces Forum was established in 2005 by four Community, not-for-profit groups, coming together who believed that free access to good quality open space and leisure facilities could contribute to the social health and wellbeing of local residents.

Over a decade later we are almost thirty groups with the same aim of improving and increasing free publically accessible open spaces for everyone in Hyndburn to enjoy.

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

Hyndburn Green Spaces Forum, a group of volunteers based in Hyndburn, who have been honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK.

The Hyndburn Green Spaces Forum, made up of local community groups, helps to protect and promote the green spaces and parks in Hyndburn, working together to secure external funding for community projects and providing help and assistance to each other on community consultation and community events and also works with the Council to secure Green Flag status for our  parks.
