Accrington Town Centre Green Team have been working with Hyndburn Borough Council’s Park Team and Lancashire County Council over the last 18 months to come up with designs to re-develop and improve 4 areas – Avenue Parade, Bank /Warner Street, Oak Street, Little Blackburn Rd/Abbey Street.   The attached designs give a flavour of what’s to come.

Bank / Warner Street was recently worked on.   There are still some bits to finish – replacement bench, bulbs to be planted in autumn.  Works started on Avenue Parade 31 March with the removal of some large trees.  Hyndburn Borough Council’s news on the project and tree removal Work begins on new pocket parks in Accrington Town Centre – Hyndburn Borough Council

The first re-development over 12 months ago now – The Accrington Pals Memorial Garden on Church Street – proved to be a big success and the Pals Sculpture by renown designer John Everiss; brought another dimension to the area.

We’re excited to be working with John again on a sculpture for the Avenue Parade garden.  Watch this space – literally !!
